"Letter of Intention":

The "G.T. Kirileanu" Neamtz County Public Library expresses its availabity of establishing collaborations and partnerships - on national and international level - with any similar or compatible organizations regarding their identity, mission, strategies and programmes.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Neamţ - Nordborg (Danemarca)
The "G.T. Kirileanu" Neamtz County Public Library and the principal public libraries from Bucharest and Sibiu participated in a programme organized by the Nordborg Library, thanks to the efforts of the municipality and the library's head manager, Mrs. Asta Broesby - Olsen.
Neamţ - Odense
As the principal public library placed in a geographic and spiritual space that gave the famous Romanian writer Ion Creanga, since 1997 we have established a long term collaboration with the Odense Central Library. In Odense has been born the great Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen.

Neamţ - Orhei (Republica Moldova)
Piatra Neamtz Romanian Books Branch Library from Orhei County Public Library has been founded thanks to a co-operation protocol signed at Piatra- Neamtz on 24-th of January 1992 (a day of deep importance for the Romanian people, because on 24-th of January 1859 has been created the Romanian national state by the union of Moldavia with Wallachia).
During ten years of activity, the collections of Orhei Branch Library increades from 3174 volumes (the initial donation) to 20.000 volumes. The performance indicators increased, too: the library is annually visited by 1750 users who consult about 45.000 volumes.
Relying on the same protocol and on excelent human relationships, between the two libraries has been realized a fruitful collaboration: periodical visits, cultural events, experience exchanges contributed to a better professional communication and to warm human relationships. Piatra Neamtz is fraternized with Orhei. Thet's why Piatra Neamtz Town Hall supports the two libraries on their common aims and in 1991 it donated a computer to the Romanian Books Branch Library from Orhei.
